if the display connector is clean and has NO corrosions, then it is pretty obvious that you have an broken line for the soft keys, down on the display, left and under the home button.

if so, you will not be able to get it to work again.

the best way to check if you have a faulty mainboard or display unit, would be to take another s6 edge mainboard to test this display unit with it...

the flex cable looks like this. it’s got the touch buttons on the flex. what’s it got anything to do with display???

oh right. now i understand. the flex cable pads are only for light not for touch! normally cables like these have touch build in to them. ie s6

restart the phone and see if the soft key lights will turn on for few moments. if yes, then the U7002 is OK and you have definetely broken soft key lines inside of display, so when you press the soft keys, the light can and will not turn on, because it is like you don't touch the keys at all ;-)

understood?

then you will have to check the mainboard very carefully under the microscope and search for liquid damages or you maybe can try to get another s6 edge mainboard to test if mainboard or display is faulty.
