Samsung D900 low Distorted sound but perfect charge start/stop tones

Hi, I am a suface mount level engineer.

I have a D900 which has had a drink of plain water.

I have removed some small amounts of furr corrosion from the PCB's and everything works ok, with one exception.

Sounds are very low and badly distorted. Although the charge start/stop beep is perfect. I also hear interferance and crackling (but perfect) through the speaker like a badly earthed audio connection. Im certain that the speaker is ok because the interferance is clear and detailed.

Ive checked all the ribbon cables are seated correctly and clipped firmly down.

Very occasionally I hear sounds come through perfectly clear but only very breifly then back to distorted.

Any clues?
