Hello!, i want to know if you have had any problems with this solution?, did you have to replace this component or simply full short circuit it?. Thank you.

Hello,

I also removed the IC (U503) and the phone was working again.
for your information: the IC is responsible for supplying (5V) external devices.
If you dont use this function, the phone will work fine without it.

I have a problem of short circuit very similar to the one you solved.

In practice unsoldering SMD and IC I always have a short circuit to the battery connector ....

also in 2 SMD down near the tongue touches the contact of the hands on the same side of the IC and SMD me by a short circuit ...

there 'this method over other component that needs to be replaced?

Could you help me in this my difficulty ... cards affected by this issue are three in my possession.

Best Regards

does this problem cause the phone to be fully inoperable or can it just cause the screen to not work?

..it's all well & good telling people about this fix but it isn't a fix until you replace the dead part. also bear in mind that the ic next to the capacitor may be fried but you dont get to find that out until you Replace the capacitor !!!
