..it's all well & good telling people about this fix but it isn't a fix until you replace the dead part. also bear in mind that the ic next to the capacitor may be fried but you dont get to find that out until you Replace the capacitor !!!

the ic next to the capacitor is a max8627 -readily available & cheap if yours is dead.. a lil tricky to fit, but hey... the datasheet is here - MAX8627 datasheet pdf datenblatt - Maxim Integrated Products - Low VBATT, 20uA IQ, 1MHz Synchronous Boost Converter with True Shutdown ::: ALLDATASHEET ::: from that pdf & diagram you get a rough idea of the capacitor value.. connected between pins1(gnd) & 4&5(batt).. schematic for ic states that 2 ceramic 22uf capacitors are used.. in the absence of any more information i'd be inclined to just try a 22uf cap in place of the dead part...

MAX8627 Low VBATT, 20ľA IQ, 1MHz Synchronous Boost Converter with True Shutdown - Ordering Info

google is a wonderful thing & maxim offer a free sample of this part or they will sell direct to you if you cant get it in a shop, but any reputable electronic supplier will order pretty much any part you ask for - just to get your business.

Thanks krish neupane !!

I solved two s2 i9100 by this method. This capacitor is shorted. For detect if this, before change capacitor, control gsm battery connector if is shorted between vbat and ground, for me is that; after change C, all is well.

THANKS!
