New LCD works. Now charging problem.

Where can you get D501 and Q500 cheaply from? Which cheap old samsung phone would have this besides S2?

Thumbs up

I just removed that capacitor and phone is working again. Thanks to the original poster.

In my case, I bought a non original battery 2 weeks ago. Maybe it could be another reason for that capacitor fault.

This capacitor is fried in my galaxy S2. I will try to desolder it and tell you how it goes.

If not, where can I get this 22uf 10v capacitor? I haven't found it in the most common component sellers.

2203-007781 C564,C565 C-CER,CHIP;22000nF,20%,10V,X5R,TP,1608,0

I think 1608 is the size, which is the thing I'm having most trouble with.

I removed the capacitor and disabled the IC like this guy did: [SGS II] Water damage, overheating u503 (USB OTG) and Workaround - Samsung Galaxy S Forums : Galaxy S2 S II Forum

It works now
