Samsung Galaxy s8 dead. Replaced battery. Still dead 😢

My girlfriend's Galaxy s8 went dead. No water damage. She said her phone was at 100 percent charged then went down to fif**** percent. The notification blue light was blinking like crazy and it shut off by itself. I tried a new battery and it didn't work. Anyone else have this problem? This is the g950u

Samsung Galaxy s8 dead. Won't charge. (Temp fix for data recovery)

I got it back running but it's still not one hundred percent. I used an broken note 5 to charge the two batteries I had and the phone booted and works great. I backed up all my data. The phone is now stuck at 3% charging and won't charge past that. Reading on other forums, this is a big issue that covers note 8, s8 and s8 plus. Samsung doesn't have a fix. Since the warranty is still active for hardware faults I'm going to try to exchange this one and hope it doesn't happen again or at least until someone finds out what really is going on. Maybe fuse onbmotherboard

Install qualcomm 9008 port driver on pc and see if it is detected via the port. You have soft brick if so.

It's still helpful. I'll try that the next time it happens on another phone
