i had a galaxy tab client used it till the phone switched off,so i just replaced the batterry and reloaded software

or you could boost the clients battery
witha power supply i set it to 8v i the put it on the blac and red leads on the battery{wile the battery was disconnected} i constantly checked the battery voltage with the multimetre till the battery voltege was 3.6v then the phone should switch on.

he says "double sided short"

Must be hardware problem not software. Check if power ic short , if yes than replace it.

thanks
