OK now this is being a little rude really I think. I am a bit of a newbie at fault finding on mobile phones, but surely there's someone on here that could explain in simple terms where I need to take the voltage test from when trying the power switch. (I maybe a newbie but im not stupid and learn very quickly, And have been taken electronics apart since a very early age, so im not a newbie at fixing, just fault finding down to component level. so if someone on here would be kind enough to take me under there wings I would really appreciate there effort in helping me out.)
kind regards
Clive

Download i9300 schematics (google for "I9300_Service_Manual") - it's multi pdf and in last document for lvl 3 repair ("08-GT-I9300-TSHOO-7.pdf") you will find troubleshooting; you can find which caps you need to check and what voltage there should be.
