I have a same problem and need solution.
Change sim reader with flex ,but not result .

samsung gt-i9505 insert sim ways
first try to clean the connectors sim / sd card and check its connections
second rehot U501 and check one by one lane his sim card

i have 2pc i9505 its work properly but after 5-10 minute its say insert sim
phone flashed
and sim reader changed allready
any solutipn ?????????

i9505 insert sim done clean with alcohal
lightly heat up small ic near with sam tray jack
