Member: 1845377 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Samsung memoir t929 digitizer- replacement tips? I am brand new to all of this, and I've probably bit off more than I can chew... I use my Memoir for the camera only (**** pics) and the screen stopped responding (90%... couldn't access anything but text messages) so after Google-ing the issue, I figured I needed a new digitizer. Bought one of ****- maybe a bad idea, but they looked the same as all the other sites' products. Anyway, got the phone disassembled, and got to the part where the the videos I've seen apply the heat gun/**** dryer to separate the digitizer from the LCD/front part of the phone... and I'm chickening out. I also see there is two flex cables- a thin one and a wider one. My replacement part only has a narrow light colored cable- where does the dark/wide one go/do I need to disconnect it somehow? Any hints or tips or links to relevant websites would be appreciated! Thanks |
