Member: 2153721 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Samsung S3 I9300 Digitizer IC replacement need advice/help I've got a Galaxy S3 I9300 with a burnt digitizer IC lying here. I want to try to replace the digitizer IC. Attached Is a picture showing the IC. I know it would be easier to replace the whole display unit but since I want to learn and practise my soldering experiences I want to ask for advice here: Given the location of the IC what do you suggest to get it out there without damaging it and how to solder a new one in place? I've got a hot air rework station and (electronics) soldering equipment available. I have also a vacuum pump for holding small parts in place available. My concerns are how to protect the resistors nearby while using hot air or otherwise by using a tip how to reach the pins near the resistors? What would be a good/the best method for this replacement? http : / / i m g u r . com/Xf59c9T Thanks and best regards Zhizhi778 |
