Member: 2634857 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 25 | The components that show short are: L7009 - VDD_INT_AP L7002 L7003 ---------VDD_ATLAS_AP SIDE L7005 I removed all comps on the VDD_into_AP line and the short stays. This goes back to CPU area surrounded by ground pins . The heat on the pmic pull was 320 C @50% 40 Secs , kapton protecting surrounding areas . Funny thing is , I have another which has no work done with same fault reading on same components.... Will post pics of the area later showing the clean pull .. Regard dee Sent from my X98 Plus 3G using Tapatalk |

Member: 2634857 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 25 | Hi all , After having a good think about these shorts im into thinking that they are maybe low resistance lines on th ecpu gpu etc, like the pp_gpu in the iphone measures 0v / 35ohms approx i think. As the same fault seems to be on the donor test board I think im safe in saying the cpu isnt shorted. 30 ohms over say 1.0 volt = 0.03333 amps so I doubt they are shorts. Got caught up in diode mode, always used ohms before for years on larger circuits.. Thanks and any more info is most welcomed Sent from my X98 Plus 3G using Tapatalk |
