Member: 184793 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.1574609 Thanks Meter: 45 | Here's some hints on how to fix the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S Not Charging Problem: 1. Ensure that the battery charger you are using is properly working or try to use another one. 2. Visually check the USB pin connector for possible damaged. Clean it if oxidized, re-solder, or replace it if necessary. You can read the VBUS charge voltage at the pin #1 if the USB connector is okay. 3. Check or read the VBUS Charge IN voltage this is the output from the VBUS charger control IC. 4. Re-heat, rework the VBUS IC if the 5V is missing. Replace if necessary. 5. The power management IC will be the next option to re-work at if the procedures above doesn't solved the problem. |

Member: 2083882 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi all, I'm going to repair my I9000 usb connection but I would like to know before if I could try to power on the main board without battery, screen, etc. to test if 5v is ok on pin 1 of the USB connector. Will I damage the main board if powered without the other component ? thanks a lot. |

IFC300 (usb connector) pin #1 is 5V : OK U503 DCIN (on C502 capacitor) is 4V instead of 5V ... is it ok ? Could it be U301 beeing dammaged ? Thanks a lot for your feedback... Regards, |

Member: 2083882 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | hi, thanks for your answer. battery should be ok because I tested with another one. current battery is 3.9V and is ok to boot the phone. battery connector is ok, tested with ohmmeter. when powerwing only the mainboard with usb 5V, I measure around 3V on battery connector beetween middle pin and (left or right pin). there is 0v beetween left and right pin. Do you have information concerning battery connector pin ? What about 4V instead of 5V on output from VBUS charger control IC (VBUS Charge IN voltage) ? thanks for your help |
