sm-g900f exclamation mark when charging - GSM-Forum

hi, all. I have searched the forums and I could not actually find anything relating to the problem on a customers phone i have jusr had dropped off.
its an s5 g900f.

it came in with a not charging problem, so i just assumed a damaged port. but when i tried to plug it in to my usb3 charger it did start charging, but after less than a minute the phone come up with a yellow exclamation mark in the battery icon. (charging from a dead battery) I have tried a known working battery from my own s5 but still the same thing. also when powered up with a charged battery from my s5 there is zero response from my pc.

has anyone seen this on the s5 and know of any kind of fix? I haven't yet opened it up to try another charging port because the phone when off does respond to a lead being plugged in so im thinking its probably not the charging port.

any help on this would be hugely grateful

when you mesure the voltage on battery connector with charger pluged in, what it says ? give more detailes... when phone on with charged battery what it says...etc... try cleaning charger socket very goood !!

Solved my S5 cleaned the port pins inside the usb port....

Just replace the USB Flex. Less than a buck.

G900F Yellow triangle SOLVED

I run to this issue with my *******r g900f phone. It had contact with water, i think that made the problem to not charge. Cleaned the board changed U7000 ic removed U901 ic and run a jumper between B1 B2 B3 pins and made a jumper to L901 filter. The phone now is charging with no problem.
