Member: 166746 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 86 | Soldiering LCD's onto flexis / flats. best way / tips please??? -urgent- I am having some trouble removing lcd's that are soldeired from the pcb or placing new ones onto pcb which need soldiering, for eg.: The E700, i want to remove the big n small lcd from damaged flex/flat cable and place it onto new flex cable, What is the best way to remove / replace the lcd to and from new old cable. Another eg. I want to change C100 samsung LCD, i tried with air gun and with sodlier iron, sometimes its messing up. please advice soem tips ;> |

Member: 56365 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 28 | Yes would be appreciated also. It took me two tries to replace R225 lcd to pcb board. Not fun, and luckily it was cheap lcd not expensive new model. I had taped it in place then solder one line on each end to keep it straight. Looks easy but is not because lcd connector is very sensitive. Regards, JOHNNY. |

Member: 183723 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | u can use hot air with decent heat and low air to take out LCDs. move it slightly from beginning of flat to the middle ,when u see it is the time try to take it out carefully from the outer side and and continue using hotair slowly to the end. |

Member: 166746 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 86 | I managed to remove E700 lcd from flexi cable and put it onto new cable the large lcd works 100% but the small lcd i fitted 3 new ones, it jsut wont display even with magnet in place... any ideas??? |
