u600 u600b flex - GSM-Forum

ordered a U600 flex to repair faulty flex but when it arrived was differant from the one removed from handset although handset is u600 ??? the new flex has u600 printed on it .. is there differant versions for this handset ....

any help appriciated ...

No, there is not.

But there are 2 PCB rev. and they use same flex foil.

If you are HW unexpirienced, common mistake with that flex is, that you didn't notice that the new foil is longer. (you have to bend it /on a PCB conn side/ to proper placement)

Original flex is allready bent (and glued too) precisely - so you probably didn't notice that you can unbend/strech it on a PCB conn side & make it long as your recived one.

many thanks for your reply new foil is longer but connector looks as though its on the wrong side but i understand that on the lcd side where you solder this can be interted any side up ......
