WCDMA Issues on Galaxy S3 after Water-Damage

Hi Guys,

I have a S3 (I9300) here which had a water damage. I Reballed the PMIC and some other corroded IC's. I had unknown BB after all that, but suddenly, the BB began to work. Now the WCDMA doens't work. I have Signal-bars but i can't see any Data-Communication, also i can't see the H+ or 3G Symbol near the Signal-bars. In normal GSM-Mode works all fine and i can make calls. Any ideas?

BR Matthias

I have the schematics, but thank you.

I reballed now every IC in the RF-Part (except the BB Processor).

The Problem is a bit different now, the phone connects to the UMTS Network after 10 mins and sometimes i'm able to call but mostly not. then looses the Network again and reconnect after few minutes again.

I have this already reballed and cleaned from the corrosion. the Output-voltages seems to be ok.

I have exchanged from another board to test:
- U106
- U102
- U103
- U106
- F100

No luck Pls PM me, you seems to be a good guy
