Where should I put the adhesive on the digitizer/LCD ?

I own a Samsung Galaxy Indulge SCH-R910. I'm a beginner in repairing a cell phone. I had my digitizer cracked. I bought a new digitizer, I read the service manual and removed the old digitizer. But there was no instructions on what kind of glue/adhesive I should use on the digitizer or LCD and where I should put the adhesive.
So I bought 3M adhesive 300LSE and put it on the plastic frame that support the digitizer, on top and bottom, but not on the sides because it's very thin. Then I put the digitizer on the frame. Then I had to put the LCD below so I put a strip of adhesive at the bottom of the digitizer, on the black part, so the LCD can stick to it. But I didn't put any adhesive on top or on the sides.
Now, the phone is working fine but on the right side of the screen, when the picture is white on the digitizer, I can see 4 very light brown spots. And on the other side, I can see 3 very very light clear white spots.
Why is that?
Should I put adhesive on the sides also?
If yes, I will need to detach the digitizer from the frame. I'm afraid that if I pull it, it can break some connection. Is there an easier way to remove the digitizer?
