Help with unlocking SE T280i - GSM-Forum

Hi all, (I hope I place it in the proper forum section, there is so many!)

My sister bought a new T280i, mainly to call cheap. We set up a masterplan, the idea was, buy an old "cheap" telephone, remove the simlock and put a sim from a cheap telephonecompany in it. But step 2 is difficult. We went to various shops who can "unlock the sim" but both could not unlock the SE T280i. In other words, we could dump the phone because it's worthless when the simlock can not be removed.

I always thought you could remove nearly any simlock but some are more difficult then others. After a little research, on google and with the search button on this forum I found out it is possible to remove the simlock of the T280i. I've downloaded the Cruiser Suite but I lack the expierence/knowledge to understand how it exactly works and can't find a good manual, tutorial or something what tells me how it's done.

So here is my question, can someone explain to me which software suits best for the job (free/cheap, it's a one time job). Which cables or accesoires I need, where I find a flash file if it is needed? In short, can someone tell me the best way how to unlock the T280i?

Anyone? It does not have to be a perfect awnser. Even a fingerpoint in the right direction helps!

you can use infinity or setool to unlock t280i
