K750 Keypad Problems


Hi,

My K750 has a problem where the joystick, back key and 7,8,9 do not work. Anybody got any solutions?
Thanks and br.

p.s I cant test anything yet because my EROM needs reparing and im waiting for the screwdrivers to arrive.

This is a very common problem with the k750i/W800i. I've repaired many of these phones. Its a faulty Keypad IC or joystick, or both. Take note to change the Keypad IC first. This way you will know if the joystick is faulty as well. I've had cases where the joystick and Keypad IC does'nt work and I change just the keypad IC and it works. Other cases where I had to replace the joystick as well.

BE CAREFULL when taking the IC and joystick off. The CPU is on the reverse side!!!


If you need pics let me know....

Would you post the picture please ? I have a K750i , water damage and 1,2,3 key doesn't work.

yes u need change joystick and keypad ic,i had solved this problem so many,so pls try this ,i hope u can solve,,,

How do you change that tiny piece, unless you are a manufacturer with a whole wave soldering factory.??

there are two diffrent µBGA´s at the nokia phones.....one with 24 balls and 0ne with 25 balls....you need this one with 25 balls. you can find it at f.e 7650
