k750i joystick problem

I have got a k750i with a non working joystick. I have tested it with a multi meter and it works fine. There is 0 voltage between the open contacts so it seems there is no power going to the contacts at all.

All the rest of the buttons work 100% on the keypad.

Nothing works on the joystick at all.

When the backlight turns off on the phone moving the joystick will not "wake" the backlight up again.

There are no 'click sounds' comming from the speaker when the joystick is moved.

I have inspected the board around the joystcik and there are no dry joints or sign of water damage.

I have re-flashed the firmware 2 times with XS++

Any advice on what to do next would be great.

Fixed. Bad joint on the pin at 12 o'clock in this picture

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/atta...0&d=1171546403

I tested between the pin at 12 o'clock and the pin at 9 o'clock at it field. I re-tested after touching it with fresh solder and it now works.

Thanks.

joystick

of all the things in the world WD-40 must be the best. I have managed to get at least 4 different phones with bung joysticks to work with it. even when completely unresponsive. you just carefully move the joystick to one side add a little and do this all the way around (i have a sample wd-40 tube that works perfect but have heard of using a guitar pick of all things) then just keep moving it and then soak up what you can with a cotton bud and repeat about two more times. its like magic (c:
