K800I - NO USB connection

I have been given a W800i however it does not matter what we try, it is unable to be seen via the usb port. Other W800i's and K750I tried and are all OK

This unit must have a USB problem..

I can not upgrade as when I go via the process the unit comes up into Phone or Music mode and not upgrade as it does not see the USB connection.

How can I Trouble Shoot this further ?

Can I some how flash or run a diag tool from the mem card ?

NOTE: When being used as a phone this unit works but DRAINS battries quickly as well ? A seperate or related problem ?

Please help.

Mark

Have always checked that the 3 push in connectors are firm as well as the edge connector that allows the USB / Interface cable to be connected.

Pulled it all down again, connected and Battery is charging... BUT still not recognised as being connected :-( Ready to use as a BRICK.

Sorry it is a W800i not a K800i (PS. Is there any major diferences?)

Yes, different plateforms db2010 and db2020

With w800i, for servicing, you will need a serial service cable (FTDI, rs232, ufs..)

Best regards,

Hi

Sorry for a second post

You need also to check or to weld the cable and/or phone connectors

Best regards,
Aishur
