Noob question, please help.

When somebody says "change ic" what doies it mean and how do I do it?

Also, what does "rehot" mean and how do I do it?

Somebody please help me, I have 2 x K850i...

First one can't be flashed because I get errors and it stops half way through writing FS.
(I was told to rehot this handset but not sure how to).

Second one seems to have flashed fine according to SE Tool but then it only vibrates and lights up and keeps doing it over and over again.
(I read that this one probally needs the ic replacing but don't know what the ic is).

Any help would be great, please PM me or reply here.

brother there is always a specific ic to control a spacific fuction e.g keypad ic control keypad funtion. if ur keypad do not work and u already checked it keypad and keypad strip and u become sure there is not a problem in keypad or keypaad strip and still keypad do not work then it means that there is problem in keypad ic , so u have to change it
. for changing an ic u should have another spare one(u casn also get it from dead board).
first remove ur ic with hot air gun . air and head should be in mediocur state
then rebol ur print on pcb(from where u have remove ic ) with solidring gun. then place ic on it spacific place and again heat it with hot air , untill it is accuratly placed on it place.

and rehot mean u have to simply heat ur desired ic untill it is resolded , with ur hotair gun

but remember ur air and heat should not be much more, otherwise it will destroy ur pcb
