SE k300i or for all SE joy stick desolding problem???


Hi all I have big problem with desolding joy stick of sony erisson.Whenever I'm trying to desold joy stick it desold the matel on the board.Does any one have better way to desold joy stick without messing up pcb board. Thanks in advance for correct answer bye.

remove joy stick with hot air. dont try with soldering iron otherwise you will
miss prints.

I had the same problem,using the hot air (or the iron)you may destroy something else.And I had found other solution:Try to clean the old joystic by removing only the pice metal from exterior of the joystic and then cleaning carefully all the contacts.
It worked for me evry time without damaging any phone

You mean the little pins on old joystick? Can you describe it with some picture please? I have the same problem too...

Very very simple solution. Use preheater and hot air station.

MAybe its sounds a little weird but im new in this and i don't have any hot air system...can it be removed without hot air?

ya u can use mercury for removing , apply mercury on joystic solding points ,clean soldering gun and apply heat by soldering gun to every point , after this u can easily remove the joystic from board , post me result

are you saying that you remove the upper part of the joystick then clean the inside and it works .l really wanted to try that but was not sure if it would work. l went and bought every joy stick you can finde for repairs then l found out l can not replace the dam things.

cut metal on joystick with drill maschine,and disasemble joystick,now with hot air desolder other pins and all work always !
