SE K800i will not power on - pls help - GSM-Forum

I have a K800i (untouched Orange firmware), was working fine, set alarms, went to sleep, will not power on in morning

I've tried taking the battery out and leaving it for a while... also plugged it into the charger - no luck - all that happens is the IRDA light comes on for a
split second. The battery is fine (tried with another phone) it's the phone
at fault.

Apparently it's a common issue:

Any idea how to fix it? I have cruiser if it helps

(If not I'll take back to shop, but rather not wipe settings etc, and have
to wait a week or two)

try to contect the server need flash file and flasher

Only hardware I have to flash modern SE handsets is Cruiser - which does not do K800's yet (as far as I am aware)

Unless I can use the cruiser cable, or the USB one that came in the box, and some other software ...

???

Nope - tried davinci - bvut as phone will not power on will not connect
Cruiser cannot help

Found out it's a known bug

Phone back in Orange shop mate

Apparently new firmware released soon

I have cruiser but still can't help.
I contacted one of my freinds who work with sonyericsson and he told me that's software problem and he will do it for me within 10 minutes.

Why ewerybody sed - cruiser, cruiser. 2 days webside cruiser is not awailable. K800 its a big sh***** If EMMA3 cant flashing this phone (not yeat) cant remove PHONE LOCK CODE!!!!! its some mistake !!!!!! I have all day about 5-8 dead this phone, when You connect to power supply and its about 80mAh drawing and nothing, Emma3 cant detect this, Davincii and Seetoll to. Change 512Mbit NAND, some other parts and nothing. This phone back to SE like RTM (retur to manufacture) We just cant frixing this ;( This same problem is with W800 - only 20mAh drawing when Power up. and its not a Vincenne problem, or NAND or USb emmi filter. So - anny ****ing idea ?

Hi!
You can fix these 70-80mA phones, but you need a interface called "SEPI"
it's a interface from SonyEricsson used with Emma III.

hi

the problem with that K800 becoming dead is only the software!,
once they are flashed with EmmaIII or some service using EmmaIII (davinci, setool..) the come alive again, however they can go dead again.

SE is supposed to solve problem on next firmware revisions.

SE introduced new feature (and bug) check in the erom, that´s why they are not booting.

I sent the phone to Sony Ericsson workshop and they told me that's not a software, it's hardware and they have to change some ICs inside.
I don't beleive them because when i tested the phone with power supply it shows that's software.
I think because the phone is not under warrantee, they told me it's hardware and they want me to pay 80$.
I'm still waiting for them today to know if they can fix it or no.

we have to wait cruiser team to solve this problem , i have almost 6 k800i mobiles all is dead by software ,
but i heard that it can be flashed online, ??
how and who doing this i dont know ??

solved one today with setool,recovery writes db2020 erom,then write fw with complete checked

no need to update eerom,
just use any online loger and flash firmware,
phone will work again,
