Help K850i touchpad not working ! - GSM-Forum

Hi ppl !

I,ve got a brand new sonyericsson k850i after a few days the down key when pressed activated the right had touchopad key so i took the phone apart and changed the keypad membrane then put it bk together and now the keys on the main keypad are working fine but the touchpad ones are not working at all ???

Has anybody any ideas what i could of done wrong or if there is anyway the touchpad connects if not by the keypad membrane ?

first got 3 problem for touchsreen not working...
try to change it the keypad ribbon,keypad panel..... if change oso cannot use... the last try change lcd.... all will ok....

Hi Again !

Thanks for the prompt reply wind vtec i,ll give it a try and see if it fixes the problem i actually changed the lcd for a new one after it cracked while we were working on the phone so maybe that is the problem you never know but i,ll keep you informed m8 !

What i will say is that phone has been one of my worst nitemares for taking apart and faults ! lol

Any update ?? My touch sensitive buttons dont work either and SONY is giving me a hard time about warranty since i'm located in USA. Let me know if you fixed it or anything.

Touch screen fault is caused by faulty keypad foil FPC, you will need to replace it to fix the problem.
