Sony Warranty taking the p*ss - C905 - GSM-Forum

Hi I have this C905 with the usual no sound from ear piece problem. I sent it back under warranty but they are refusing to repair it as they have found evidence of 'component damage'.

The arrows in this picture indicate a missing component on the right (resistor or capacitor?) and what looks like a poor solder joint on the left?

Anyone had this sort of 'service' from Sony.Comments

P.S cant seem to attach the jpg or even if i zip it up (only 275kb)

OK here is the image. I havent dropped it or misused it.

Its the 3rd C905 I have had from Orange so this is a reconditioned unit, hence its more likely the 'damage' present is due to reworking the unit before being sent out to me.

Any thoughts?
