Sony Xperia Z1 Compact black LCD

Hi, I have a Z1 Compact (D5503) on which my friend tried to change the LCD + digitizer, and accidentally connected the LCD connector upside down while the phone was on, and now the screen is totally black (new LCD/digitizer-assembly).

Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this? I've been looking at the PCB for hours but can't see anything that looks burned or damaged.

Apparently it was only the backlight that was dead. Send me a PM if you wanna know how I solved it, I can't post links to pictures in threads.
