Question Where or what acts as a mic for W550??


i know this is damn stupid but cant find where is the mic on the W550. Which part is it pls?? This is the fist time i got this phone on mic probs and cant find it or what acts as a mic at all

u have to open all the parts, its located on behind lcd, lower a little bit and if u see carefully there is a little mic soldered at lcd flexible. tricky isn't it, hope it help

do you mean it is in the upper part of the phone?? and not where the geeez

unbelievable.... guess have to remove the lower part too to dismantle the upper part since it seems it is screwed from the back too.

never met such a design

yes it is on the upper part not the main board part. let me see, 4 screws behind, 2 screws below keypad, behind rubber, 4 screws to dismantle lower part, 2 screws up behind rubber, 4 screws to dismantle rotary joint... a lot of screws indeed, after opening the housing behind rotary joint u can see lcd flexible and look carefully u'll see the mic... hahaha, crazy design but still gives a lot money to fix it, LOL, thats why it takes about 9$ to charge customers if they want to change the whole housing LOL
