W880 lcd connector on main pcb..

Need to replace the W880 lcd connector on main pcb, whats the best way to de/resolder?...Hotair gun?...If yes, at what temperature?

Anyone who sell such connectors?

best way is use infrared station. with hotair it is possible to damadge lcd socket. [ if there is both side socket pin is visible. and you have new or extra socket. then you have to remove with hotair gun and fix with soldering iron.

cut matal fram as yellow line. then use disole wick and iron .

I wish I had, but no infra station...
Yeah, I 'm aware of the risk of damage/melting connector with hotair, I was thinking of cutting a rectangular hole in a piece of kitchen aluminium foil to prevent damage to parts around..

Anyway...What you mean desolder broken connector with hotair, and solder the legs on new one with a (very) thin soldering iron?

solder the legs on new one with a (very) thin soldering iron with good flux.
