Thanks for your point outs.
Bye
Hmmm... Our mighty Pro, you're right, sometimes But I have to disagree for this situation.

I.C, Integrated Circuit, used to control on/off, connect/disconnect circuit.

Sometimes there is hard to find some ICs, I'm afraid many ppl like me which are still thirsty about it. Like voltage regulator ? usb ic ? etc...

So jumper do important for some situations like our member posted their problem up there. Hmmm... can you find 50 pieces of x10 xperia usb ic by that time when the phone was just launched not long time ago ? Haha, 50 pieces x10 usb ic faulty, O... very unfortunate ! Just joking But until now I still can't get one in my place to buy, pity... How many broken x10 can we have to do as spare part ?

Some sets, IC can be skipped to make jumper. For example, our great mighty nokia's mic ic, volume switch ic, some volt. regulator ic (not all).

Of course, it's true that it is great to have original genuine ic to replace with. But in my life, my chances of getting them are negligible, very few.

So PRO or not PRO is not quite important to me as long as we provide a stable, reliable, responsible, long lasting (try not to make customer return by tomorrow after repaired, I think after one month should be ok... HAHA, kidding . That's what I'd do.

Will this fix usb detection problem? because my phone charging is fine, but not detected when plugged into computer (although i have latest revision board with usb port glued into board). Still have same problem when tried it on another computer.

there is some misconception when i looked at this picture and another solution, there is differences in wire location (pink and blue). which one is correct?

Thanks, that makes it clear now. I just wanna make sure before i do it wrong. its because this solution is mainly for charging problem not usb connection problem.

So it will be like in this picture right? Finally i had succeeded remove glue part with hot air gun. But i still confused, should i remove smd component in red circle? because it seems like a component to me..

sorry if i'm asking too much because i'm still beginner in this..
many thanks
