It is covered in some sort of lacquer and it's really hard to remove without damaging the parts. The IC underneath has 4 taps, but they all come off as soon as you try to heat them and there's nothing underneath! It's impossible to get the wire to stick to the chip's surface, it just doesn't stay there! Can you remove the chip and use the pads under it to solder? Is there any other place you can solder the D+ and D- ?
