Member: 1765611 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Xperia Neo No Display Backlight have problems with backlight of Xperia MT15i aka NEO. Phone fell in water, I manage to clean it up mainboard and every connector. Now phone lights up but the backlight of the display isn't on, Looking with a flashlight I can see that the display itself is working including touch screen. I disassembled it again and where the flex cable connector is of the display saw some short circuit there cleaned again but the same. so I'm stuck then. If anybody has a solution would be great for me or something I can Try maybe. See You |

I happen to experience the same problem, with the same phone/phone model, and this same problem occurred followed by the same reasons as described by the unfortunate fellow to whom this message acts as a reply. Could it be possible that there is an actual solution to this? Other than taking the phone to the repairman, that is. Well I hope that there is a miraculous way to do this... The Truth of the matter is we weren't careful with our phones at the time... (the time when the incident took place) and as a result of our carelessness, something inside... probably some/a CHIP, that corresponds to the display's ability of lighting itself up, - had damaged, - and therefore it is a technical issue, not a simpler issue, that could be solved just by... I dunno, time?/or by replacing a certain file in the system, (which also corresponds to the display's light-up function), that possibly got damaged/broken/corrupted, - with a new/fresh/uncorrupted one... (the key here is to know what file is it, exactly) And this, to me, - IS the miraculous-kind-of-way solution I mentioned earlier. Might this at all be possible? (solving this issue, without the help of the repairman technician guy, for free) | |
