V980 dead after unlock - GSM-Forum

The phone can be put to test mode but after unlock, Unimoto says "connect phone in Testmode and press OK", did the same and get same message "connect phone in Testmode and press OK",

Tried to restore the original security but phone still does not work. Any ideas, anyone??

Bootloader is 6.1.2

It's a little complex. First check if it has connection with P2K and let me know. I will guide you from there.

Also, did you use C975 to unlock your phone? Please explain in detail how you unlocked it.

As for my case, I accidentally used V975 to unlock it and it killed the phone.

i have today killed two v980 phones.
i tried unlocking them with unimoto , the program asked me to restart handset in bootmode , but thats where it ended. my phone would not restart at all. thinking it was a handset problem (as i have unlocked v98 before with unimoto) i commenced with another handset and it did exactly the same.now i have two dead handsets.
i have been reading the forum and maybe i need to upload a bootloader.could this do the trick and how do i do it.

Yes Phantom,

V980 will never ask to restart phone in bootmode, since u choose C975, UNIMOTO will ask to power on (normal mode) , without remove cable ...
Just upload boot with PST ... And phone work again ...
Not try unlock R26 like Legija told !!!!!!!!!
