on couple diffrent handsets, tryed already to powe adapters: 9V/2A && 12V/500(very good quality-for sure provide 500mA)

hi
is this happening on one phone or just all V3re ?
1 Make sure your battery is fully charged, because a fully charged battery demands less current (ma) from Smart Clip
2 Try another 12V 500ma power supply, because what is marked as 500ma may not be.
3 This is easy for you to troubleshoot, because you have 2 other Smart Clips...check out your power supply on one of your other clips

Good Luck

@ gumoff,

AT Command error shows that the User code enabled.
Try to read phone info with the SCout flasher, and perfrom Master Reset/Master Clear procedure.

the right adapter is supposed to be 12v 750mA so you are 250mA short

ok...

battery's was pre-charged in new ones (+ some how usb connection in clip bit
doggy)??!,
-reading sorted-out, but i can't unlock it with tp(PWR led goes half of light
darker), need to use battery,
ok, guys, inside are low-dropout voltage regulators so my first power adapter
9V/2A should be enough, but will try 12V/~1A-2A as u say...

thx

@ gumoff,

We receommend to us 12v 750mA. 2A can damage Smart-Clip, so it will be non-functional.

@Mr.Tinkertrain

ok, thx Sir,
how come it can damage smart-clip ??!,
parameter of power-adapter means how much power it can deliver,
-not huw much it 'can push' to power receiver, because it can't push,
the power adapter will give as much it can and the device want to drain...

@ gumoff,

All depend on the power adapter you use. Some of them give as much power as the device need and some will provide with the max value.
Therefore we recommend to use 12V 750mA power supply, such value suppose to be enough for the Smart-Clip to work properly with any handset.

Original problem was "AT command error", that error appears in case if User Code enabled.
In case if some error appears during the unlock/flash procedures, please post log file here. Just donn't forget to hide your serial numbers.

@Mr.Tinkertrain

nope Sir -that's basic Ohm rule....
as u advised me -i've checked them in scout, and as i tough brand new handsets has no user code -have 3 yrs 2 smart-clip's and i'm very happy with it (and 15 more boxes) so done lot's of mot'os successfully,
and u haven't seen me on this forum before one more post regarding flashing
compal-
but from time to time i'm making stupid mistakes, but i'm sorting them out in a second,
--=> going to get power adapter u advice && will post result of my struggling..

best wishes

....story continues

I did try with 12V/750mA –same score…,
Then I try with other two clips –same…
I think it’s smart tp!, when I’m using it to provide power to phone(v3re) –pwr led is
Half light up as it should be, when I disconnect power from phone stays like I say
Then when I disconnect tp(yellow) returns to normal, so I can unlock v3re with battery only…
…will buy new smart tp soon.

Its impossible to damage Smart Clip with any adapter that provides more than 750 ma.
Ive been using Smart Clip since 2004, and my 12V battery bank provides well over 2,250 AMPS.
SmartClip will draw only the amount of current it needs.
Now voltage is another thing, which 12V should never be exceeded.
