Cingular's C139 v1.9.24 NEW type - GSM-Forum

Hi SC Team:

Appears that a new type of Cingular C193 Go Phone v1.9.24 has been taked out to the market. Until now this phone could be unlocked with SC with no problem, but a new type with number 8 in IMEI after the 3 zeros can't be unlocked with SC no mather it mantains version 1.9.24.

In THIS post a user can ship this phone inmediatly to your team.

Please SC team take care of this matter and update you wonderfull unlocking device.

I have never been able to get a smartclip to work on these phones. I've been complaining on this board about this issue for months. The only reason I bought the SC was to unlock this phone and it has failed ot do the job. I am now stuck with a $300 doorstop unless they do an update that fixes the issue.

PLEASE UPDATE... I AM BEGGING YOU!

HELLO....I HAVE UNLOCKED NEW AND USED MOTOROLA C139 FROM CINGULAR AND A PRE-PAID COMPANY WE HAVE IN THE WEST COAST CALLED TUYO, THE C139 FROM TELCEL(MEXICO) HAVE BEEN UNLOCKED AS WELL WITHT HE SMART CLIP ALL WITH SUCCESS.....PLEASE UPDATE THE SMARTCLIP AND THE S-CARD...TO THE NEWEST UPDATE.
PS;
ON THE VIDEO....I SEE THAT THE PHONE IS OFF...TRY TO TURN IT ON AND THEN OFF AGAIN.....
THEN PLUG THE PHONE IN THE OFF STATE TO THE SMARTCLIP AND POWER THE CLIP.....
PRESS UNLOCK ON THE CLIP ...WITH IN A FEW SECONDS PRESS POWER ON THE PHONE...
(CHECK THE SMART CLIP AS YOU PRESS POWER ON THE PHONE, THE RX LIGHT SHOULD BLINK OR TURN ON FOR A FEW SECONDS) i DONT SEE THAT ON THE VIDEO YOU POSTED.

These units do not boot so that they can not be unlocked in the usual manner

You are incorrect as I have 3 C139 phones from Cingular but have the new AT&T sim cards and they WILL NOT unlock with Smart Clip!!!

I have done 100's before they changed and was able to unlock with SC but now no more.

new versions of c139 need to be physically bypassed security
this is done by removing N1 ball point under MCu

Infinity says
C139 tracfone

if you cut test point , but phone is still possible to power On-
this is new hardware type.
to make this phone you need to desolder CPU and remove ball from leg N1.
this is the only way to boot new hardware type phones
