@ i_am_rocky,

Check mini USB connector in the handset. Probably it has some malfunction.

the last one i remember is on l6, bnut i think it also not working with E1, E398 also, the problem raise only the phone in flash mode. but now i already sorted the problem.

The problems are:

1. The Smart CLip's USB connector on the board. The ground of the USB conenctor shield is shorting out the BIG resistor pin, the resistor is connected via the power supply line. If you opened up the the Smart CLip you can get the idea what i'm talking about, since when i writting this the box isn't here, thus i cannot show you the picture or photo. Then i have to modified my box a bit. I remove the resistor and solder on the bottom of the board so it cannot short with the USB connector ground. THis is intermitent problem, when you plug the usb too hard a little the circuit will short. better design a better PCB next time. I'll help you if you want.

2. The Smart USB VOltage is too low (4,45 V). so i jumper out 5,00 volt right from the 7805 IC output to the USB V+.

Now my smart clip work like charm.....

Good Luck...
