@ ren77,

There is no problem with SmartMoto. The thing is that you did not perform the PREPARE cycle properly.
As your log file shows Prepare procedure wasn't made properly.

When procedure
Quote:
# At this time popup window appears at SmartMoto interface. Please follow the instructions provided therein

* Disconnect cable from the phone;
* Remove and insert phone’s battery;
* Press "Power on" key on the phone. Phone's LCD remains blank;
* Connect cable to the phone;
* Press OK in SmartMoto.
was made, SmartMoto should detect boot version 2.00\3.00.

And as your log file shows
Quote:
Searching for phone... found Motorola Phone (L2), getting test interface... OK
Switching to flash mode... OK [S Flash Neptune LTE]
Reading phone boot version... 8.D0

@Mr. Tinkertrain,

Does that mean that its still erasing while the phone is switched from boot mode to flash mode? Does back up process performed succesfully?

Here:

Performing backup to temporary file
Stored temporary backup to C:\Program Files\GsmServer\SmartMoto\temporary backup\bkp_F72409080CC09EA1.bk_
Backup OK
Erasing flash memory error 80

Here: LCD displays critical error on this. Then pop up window tells to remove/insert battery and press power on phone. And every thing goes on, no more errors.

Note that from the first part that the phone is powered on and connected to clip up to that error, no human interference is done. That means i did not disconnect nor power on the phone. I followed the procedure thoroughly.

In manual for NON-TP unlock such message can be found:
Quote:
NOTE:
If there was any mistakes made during unlock process, and the handset is in "MEM_MAP Blank" mode, then "Prepare" process has to be repeated and the handset has to be flashed with reflash or full_flash file.
At the stage 11, handset screen might display a "Critical error" message. Please, don’t be worried and strictly follow the instructions of SmartMoto.
Quote:
11. The prepare cycle starts. SmartMoto creates a Temporary Backup File* from the handset firmware.

For some models, SmartMoto will popup the following instruction to be performed:

* Remove phone’s battery;
* Insert battery back;
* Press power ON;
* Press ok in SmartMoto;
* The prepare cycle will continue.
Also, please tell us what power adapter you are using.

Did you update the dongle?

S-Card registration/update procedure
Launch S-Card update client. Please be aware that S-Card registration/update procedure requires a stable Internet connection during the whole process.
  1. Select interface language and press "Next";
  2. Connect S-Card dongle to PC USB port, press "Next";
  3. Wizard should detect the dongle;
  4. Connect Smart-Clip to PC via LPT port and press "Connect Clip";
  5. Wizard should detect the Clip and proceed to the registration/update process. Press "Next";
  6. S-Card registered/updated. Press "Finish".
