FOMA M702iG UNLOCK .....LOAD ERROR... PLEASE HELP - GSM-Forum

Hi SmartClip Team,

I tried to unlock FOMA M702iG with smartclip and smart testpoint cable purchased from Gsm Server but encounter problem as below:

Searching for phone...found S Flash Argon, getting test interface...interface not found
switching to flash mode... OK
reading phone boot version... 3.03
sending boot... OK
erasing flash memory OK
sending firmware OK
searching for phone...found S Flash Argon
switching to flash mode... OK
reading phone boot version... 0.00
load error

So after successfully detect phone with boot version 0.00 with smarttespoint load error

could you please help? why this happens? what is wrong with unlock?

simclub1,

During Prepare SmartTestPoint procedure TP has to be held until the software informs to release it. Looks like TP was disconnected before SmartMoto informs you to disconnect it.
PLease perform Unlock procedure from the beginning. Perfom all steps exactly as written in the manual.

However, actually I still hold the testpoint throughout the testpoint process but still always load error

is there any other possibility of this problem?

@ simclub1,

Try to run unlock procedure using both Testpoints simultaneously.

I just tried it but it just came back with message

searching for phone...no phone found

I am just wondering if it is because I only use 9V 500mA power supply?

@ simclub1,

One of possible reasons could be bad power supply. Try to use 12v 750mA power adapter.

Also please make sure that display is diconnected from the PCB.

Honestly I almost give up

I tried again with 12V 750mA power supply, LCD has always been disconnected. Has also upgraded with smartmoto 2.38 but still same problem

Load Errorr ?

@ simclub1,

Perform whole procedure once again from the very beginning. During 13 step hold TP connected untill SmartMoto informs you to release it.

Quote:

12. Unlock procedure continues.
13. Disconnect TP needle when SmartMoto informs to do so.

Load Error (during unlock procedure of M702iG) may appear in case if TP disconnected before SmartMoto pop-up message appears.

Also, please specify boot and firmware versions of the phone.

I forgot to save operation log so I forgot the boot and firmware version but I have the temporary back up file. Is it possible to know it from temporary back up file?

what could be other possibilities of problem of load error?

Please remember to keep Smart-Clip serial number in secret at all times. The serial can be only posted to Smart-Clip support team via e-mail or Private message. Please be aware that all serials that are posted at any public forum will be immediately blocked for good.

There will be no return for the blocked Clip. It will never become functional again.

Hi Mr Tinkertrain,

if it is true that we still can't unlock the latest FOMA M702iG yet, is there a way to recover the phone software back from temporary back up so that I will be able to return the phone in condition before i tried to unlock.

As you may understand that i will not be able to return the phone to customer while the phone is still in flash mode

Please Assist, Thank You
