If Smart TP from GSMServer its not the cable, maybe TP doent touch the borard try to use TP A, TP B at the same time

@ usmartu,

This error usually appears in case if the TP was held too long or some other PCB component was touched.
Please ensure that the board is clean and repeat unlock procedure.

Ive been trying for 3days now to finish this motorola w490 and no way uptil now can anyone help as the box went of after prepare and now when about to restart the process it just reads half way reading failed timed out io whilse the screen says CRITICAL ERROR can anyone help me end this saga

critical error can be solved with reflashing.
some w510,w490 for me work only with TP A conected,some with TP A and B conected.
Try see if box have enough power,use good usb cable(better to use original@ phone conector is clean and good soldered),battery for first stage is full charged,PC with good LPT port(better use branded PC),TP area is not damaged.
Must work.

you got it.Some need TP A+B and some don't need.For me power for SC 9v-300mA is enought(never got problem with)
