How to fix the error 'Incomplete chip identification' ???


I tried to flash a v300 and the phone become dead... Then I repaired the PSD and Full Flashed the phone, now when I try to reflash/repair the phone again I get an error 'Incomplete chip identification, restore & write functions unavailable'... I have no idea how to fix it...

I had the same problem with a v551 i could never fix then i had the same problem with a v3i till a read in a post to use rsd lite 2.5 with the cable connected to the back of the computer and use a ******* flash and like a miracle i could fix the v3i ..but the v551 i could never make it work i guess sc need to work more on this .

I ended up fixing with free tools instead the one's provided by sc. try rsd lite 2.5 and cable and let me know.

For me this problem was solved using test point! This was happened with V220 motorola. So i connected the test point and flashed it and now this phone is working 100%! Just try it!

Yup, you are right. For me, I normally look at

Reading flash id... Intel-0x0089

Flash ID messed up and do the test point.
