Question How to install smart clip ?


Simple question yet critical, how to install smart clip ? (step by step) this kind of thread topic should be stickied IMO, thx

There are smart clip, smart card, smart adaptor, smart moto etc, which one should i install first ? can someone from official smart clip team answer my question please? and please make it step by step, thx

Smart Adaptor update procedure
------------------------------------------

1. Connect Smart Adaptor to PC USB port.
2. Log to Update Zone.
3. Log to the Advanced tab.
4. Select USB port in "Communication Mode".
5. Lot to Smart Adaptor tab.
6. Press "Update" button.
7. The updater detects the Adaptor serial number.
8. The new firmware will be loaded to the device.
9. The Smart Adaptor is ready to be used for any Smart-Clip function*.


* Smart Adaptor can be used for Smart-Clip updates as well as for phone flashing, unlocking, repairing etc.

During the first Smart Adaptor Update procedure the system may require the Smart Adaptor driver to reinstalled. In order to do so, please locate the driver again.

Note
If the firmware version of Smart Adaptor is outdated, please update Adaptor before updating the Clip. In order to do so, please press perform Smart Adaptor update procedure before updating the Smart-Clip.


1. Connect Smart Adaptor and S-Card to PC USB ports.
2. Connect Smart-Clip to the Smart Adaptor.
3. Power Smart-Clip ON (warning: don’t use battery!);
4. Log to Update Zone.
5. Log to the Advanced tab.
6. Select USB port in "Communication Mode".
7. Log to Smart-Clip tab.
8. Press "Update" button;
9. An ActiveX client should detect Smart-Clip serial, firmware version and S-Card serial, update process begins;
10. New firmware is loaded.

S-Card registration/update procedure
------------------------------------

Please be aware that S-Card registration/update procedure requires a stable Internet connection during the whole process.

1. Connect S-Card dongle to PC USB port;
2. Connect Smart-Clip to PC using Smart Adaptor or LPT cable;
3. Power Smart-Clip ON (warning: don’t use battery!);
4. Go to our Update Zone;
5. Update Zone uses ActiveX control, answer "Yes" to install and run it;
6. Log to the S-Card tab;
7. Press "Update" button;
8. An ActiveX client should detect Smart-Clip serial, firmware version and S-Card serial, update process begins;
9. New firmware is loaded.

Note. In order to select an appropriate Smart-Clip connection method (LPT or USB) please log to the tab Advanced and select required port in Communication Mode field.

Each S-Card dongle is allowed to be registered with a single Smart-Clip device. The developer excludes a possibility when a single USB key can be used with few Smart-Clips. As soon as registration procedure is completed – the dongle and the Clip are bound to each other. If either of the devices needs to be replaced for maintenance purposes, the user should inform Smart-Clip support team at support [at] smart-clip.com.

Install SmartMoto
-----------------

Install the latest SmartMoto only after the Smart-Clip was updated to the latest version and registered with S-Card. As soon as SmartMoto installation is completed the PC must be restarted.
