Member: 160088 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | How to unlock E398 with smart-clip? However, I can't seem to unlock this E398. I have: The handset and battery The smart-clip A new 9v battery wit connector A USB and LAN cable to plug into the clip Without the battery in the handset the phone will not boot. Without the 9v supply the smart-clip does not light up. So I've got both in. I've tried different combos of powering things up and pushing the 'unlock' button, and tried both cables (one definately worksd as I've unlocked different handsets with it before). Keep getting red light Ideas appreciated, especially the correct sequence etc Many thanks |

Member: 105625 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 44 | I've never managed to unlock E398 with battery inside phone. I have to remove the battery from the phone, and power the phone on (while connected to smart clip), then press unlock button. If the phone does not power on without battery, i have to press the unlock button on SC first. It will of course light red after a few secs, but phone powers on and i can press the button again when it's booted. |
