no communication with phone at all

I finally managed (on a 3rd computer) to update my firmware to latest 01.12, since then, regardless what I connect on USB port, 2 seconds after pressing button, I get the double-colored (E/G) LED to lit in RED.

no matter what I connect, if any.

any ideas?

Turn On the phone

Make sure that the connection phone to the box it is good
Before pushing the button make sure that your phone is On.
Usualy you got "red light" when there is a wrong communication.
Let be honest the smart clip cables are not the best quality.

never used battery and used 30 different cables.
before upgrade, it took 6-8secs for the error indicator to light, now it is 1-2 sec at max.

Did you get the green light when you plug the 9v battery ?
If yes , try to isolate the cable that works, them you can try again
with that cable.
If it is me ; I will try to upgrad my box to make sure it is really v1.12 .
If is v1.12 you should get the message that said there is no upgrad for
your box.
Please upgrad that with DC 9V, 50 mA.
