Pebl: keypad dead after unlock and flash without any error!

Hi smart-clip-team!

I´ve just unlocked a new Motorola U6 Pebl from Orange via test-point, everything worked fine without any error or something. -> unlock o.k. was written. But when i inserted my Voda card afterwards i could not enter my pin-code anymore, because the keypad didn´t function anymore. The Sim card was recognised (-> phone is unlocked) but only the Power-on button is working and no other one! If done the Repair PDS (worked fine!) and i´ve flashed it again afterwards (worked fine too!) but the keypad woul´dn´t work

I´ve tried the whole day now to find any solution without sucess - so your my last hope!
Thanks,
gimjen

Looks like a hardware problem. Possibly something was damaged during testpoint process.

while putting the phone together...make sure the side keys have been put back together proprly...that if u put those side keys other way rnd...it mite cause the keys not to respond.

try if it works...or otherwise...u mite have damaged some part of the board in the TP process

good luck

Usual cause is damage to the keypad ic's ( 2 x small shiny square ic's below the testpoint) possibly levered against when cutting the shield
Just replace them

From what I remeber it was like a shiny grey
It is very easy to damage ( cutters , just resting against it as you cut the sheild )
