Problems in support area - Clip not found


Hi I'm a new member

I cannot update smart clip in the support area, After installed Activex pluging and execute de program I receive de next error message:

- Looking for a clip at 0x378...
- Run under administrator privilege
- Clip not found


I have disable firewall, antivirus, poppus killers, etc...
the LPT port is correct and the wire too.
I´m using Windows XP and Windows 2000

Help Please

(sorry for my english)

It look like u didn't plug in the power.

Do u put the battery power?

Better find a 9v adaptor for it and test it.

Yes, I use 9v battery and AC/DC adaptateur. In the clip the power led is red and E/G led is green.

Do u have another LPT port cable?

If u didn't plug in the clip and press connect on the support area also have same result. - clip not found

having the same problem with my clip..

cables fine as i use it with other dongles..
will try on another oc and post up results..

nice clip by the way

same problem with me......using windows xp....im also using dc power adapter....but it shows clip not found.......anyone have idea how to solve it???

Had same problem with XP-Home. Used other pc with win98se, connected np and upgrade done in 10sec

Please note that you've got to have admin rights under NT (XP/2000) !

Yes, I have admin rights under windows 2k and windows xp, even I download SCREADER.exe from this web to test it in PC and the problem is the same!.
I try to execute in windows 95/98/Me compatibilty mode and I receive the message:

Try to set EPP in BIOS and Auto in ActiveX client

I've just update the clip! with a PC under windows 98...
I think Windows XP Professional (not Home) and Windows 2K locked the lpt ports...

i simply solved my this problem by using dialup connection and win98........clip updated to v 1.12 successfully
