Member: 108655 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Remove RSA -> I/O Timeout Error I'd like to complain about something though.... Before when that happened, it was easy to fix, since I just: #1 remove the battery from the phone #2 put the battery back into the phone #3 the keypad lights up and remains lit while no screen shows #4 go to SmartMoto and search for phone again #5 SmartMoto finds S Blank Neptune #6 go to Unlock tab and Remove RSA again #7 SmartMoto reports boot version as FF.FF but is able to overwrite it However, with the latest update, when the I/O Timeout error happens, the above steps don't work anymore! When you try to Remove RSA again, SmartMoto reports boot version as 0.FF and then says "you do not need to remove RSA for this bootloader version." That means I have to go Repair PDS and then do Full Flash to make the phone live again, which takes quite a bit of time and erases the customer's phone data. Can the SmartClip team look into this? |

Member: 5653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | I keep getting the same problem too; IO error on downgrade. Its quite annoying especially when i have to full flash the phone with a different language flash afterwards. Either this bug needs fixing or we need more flash files on support. ( i for example need a full flash with LP0039 |

Member: 108655 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Sorry, no log right now because it's not really a permanent damage thing. It looks exactly the same as any other V3 8.26 Remove RSA process, except that at various point of the Writing Boot Area action it just stops, and you can see on the Smart-Clip that the green LED stops blinking, then after a few seconds it says I/O Timeout, followed by Flash Completed. That's probably because of the LPT data transfer corruption, so I'm not too worried about that. My concern is that before I can fix it by doing the Remove RSA process again. Now, I can't, and have to do Repair PDS + Full Flash, which takes a lot longer. |
