V3 edge unlocking problem - GSM-Forum

well, not really an unlocking problem

have a V3 edge here to unlock, I did the prepare tp etc, but when i disconnected the handset to actually connect the tp, it was only then i realised that i have to cut the shield to get at it, I phoned the lad that owns the handset and he said he doesnt want it cut.

When i bult the handset up, it is now stuck in Boot loader mode

do i have do do tp to sort this now ?

Phone cant be back to Normal unless you cut the shield & connect TP

flash ur phone in pc mode via scout with same version ur phone has.phone will b revived but still in locked position.enough to return it to customers till he makes up his mind on shield cutting

Will flashing it with RSD make any difference friend........
I dont have a scout......
I only own a smartclip.........

Have a V3 EDGE with bootloader mode.........

To be able to revive this phone there are 2 possible ways.
1. Run unlock procedure once again. SmartMoto will automatically detect temporary backup and suggest to restore it. (Before running any operation make sure that the battery fully charged, also check your power adapter. We suggest to us 12v 750mA power adapter for the Smart-Clip)
2. Flash the phone with the same firmware version like it origianlly had via *.pcf flash files using SCout flasher and S-Card/SCout dongle.

P.S. Temporary backup was automatically made in case if during first attempt of unlock the phone was turned on.
