V360 unlock error a5 - GSM-Forum

TRYING TO UNLOCK A V360 BUT ALWAYS SHOW ERROR A5 AND PHONE NOT UNLOCKED.

I SEARCH IN THE FURUM I FIND THAT IT HAPPENED WHEN IT4S A PROTOTHYPE PHONE.
MY QUESTION IS HOW TO KNOW IF PHONE IS PROTOTHYPE ?

@ i-touch,

More likely that the set you have is a prototype.
Unlock/Repair PDS operations for the prototype handsets is not supported by Smart-Clip.

WHAT IS PROTOTYPE MEANS ?
is there any way to know if phone is protothype without box ? or just with this error A5 only

@ i-touch,

In most cases you can find "engineering sample" or "not for sale" sign under the battery of the phone if the set is prototype.
