Please remember!
During testpoint unlocking procedure phone's LCD must be disconnected.
Do not use hot air fan to remove a metal shield on PCB. This can seriously damage the handset. Use any other alternative tool to cut or drill it. Please make sure you do not damage the board.

Please make sure that Testpoint resistor (33 Ohm) did not get damaged. It's responsible for display functions.

Also, was the LCD disconnected during testpoint unlock process?

i think your problem may be down to the way you opened the phone, rather than the procedure itself.

the connectors for joining ribbon to board are very much same in this v3x as in sony ericssons...

if you just "pulled" the connector apart, you may have pushed one or more pins inside the block so they are not making a contact.

check all connector blocks for this. if you find a pin pushed in, you can use a small/sharp instrument (sewing pin) to ease the pin back into view.

in future, try to lift all connectors in this type by both ends at same time. and be gentle
